IONIA. Teos. Circa 500-475 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 11.79 g). Griffin, with curved wings, seated to right on ornamented ground line, raising left foreleg; below griffin's body, M-E. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. Balcer 12 corr. (A12/P16, but M below griffin not described). SNG Copenhagen -. SNG von Aulock -. Traité I 500 and pl. XIII, 4 (same dies). Lightly toned and very well centered. Slightly granular and with very minor doubling on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
